This is the river for travelers who love old towns: fairytale half-timbered streets in Strasbourg and Miltenberg, a Baroque palace in Mannheim, a wine tasting in Rüdesheim, and the UNESCO city of Bamberg before you disembark.
Most days offer a choice of excursion, so you can walk, taste, or ride a bike along the Main.
